Fantastic week of sailing, eating, swimming, foraging and walking on Eigg, Muck, Rum, Canna and Skye. Thanks to skipper and host John and forager/mountain guide Heather for making the week such a memorable one.

Fabulous trip with John skippering. As a newbie to sailing he was patient explaining everything clearly and answering even my daftest of questions. Fantastic food and company of other guests made for the most memorable trip. If you are even thinking about it, don't hesitate, just do it. I most certainly will be doing so again.

John is an excellent skipper and Stravaigin is a great boat. I did the 4-day trip from Oban; the sailing, weather, accommodation, food, other guests and atmosphere on board were all 5-star. John is a great cook and everyone mucked in to make the trip enjoyable. Planning to do another sail this year. Excellent trip!

We enjoyed a fantastic 10 days on Stravaigin. John's exceptional knowledge of the anchorages around the Outer Hebrides and Skye meant we experienced the best of what these sailing waters offer. We saw white-tailed eagles, golden eagles, minke whales, porpoises, seals and a couple of super-pods of dolphins criss-crossing the bow of the boat.

From start to finish it was just a terrific four days. I was a solo traveller and novice sailor but was made to feel immediately welcome and included. Food was fantastic and John knew pretty much everything about everything (in a good way) so was able to answer all questions. I'll definitely be rebooking!

One of the most relaxing but also invigorating holidays we have ever enjoyed as a family. Our tour of Castle Tioram, Muck, Eigg, Rum, Canna and Loch Scavaig was fascinating: each offering a different but fascinating experience. We were spoilt by the knowledge, courtesy, charm, cooking and company of John and Angus.
